Revelation: The Book of Blessing, Volume 1
by Pastor Edward Robson
The Seven Blessings of the Book of the Revelation: Revelation 1:1-3:33
The Book of the Revelation is the final disclosure of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Jesus, Himself, is the Author of the Book and Jesus is the Subject of the Book.
The blessings of the Book of the Revelation are for men and women and children, from every tribe and tongue and people and nation, from every generation, who believe in Jesus Christ for salvation. There is within the context of each blessing a statement of what Jesus has done and the consequences of His actions that benefit His people.
The Seven Blessings go together and are parallel expressions of our happiness in Christ. Blessedness is happiness because of holiness and in Christ we are made holy. Our relationship to God has been changed because of Jesus. To possess one blessing is to possess them all.
Each blessing in the Revelation is given by the Lord's command. Each blessing deals with an issue about which we could know nothing unless God Himself revealed it. The blessings set before us are what is truth and are what we should believe.
"Blessed is the Preacher and those who hear and observe what has been written in the prophecy for time is almost up."-Rev. 1:3
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from hence forth". "It is true" says the Spirit. "They rest from their labors for their works follow them." -Rev. 14:13 [We are blessed when we face The Last Great Enemy]
"Blessed is the one staying awake and carefully watching his garments so that he will not walk naked and everyone sees his shame."-Rev. 16:15 [We are blessed when comes Armageddon, The Last Great Battle]

"Blessed and holy are the ones having a part in the First Resurrection. Over them, the Second Death has no power."-Rev 20:6 [We are blessed through the millennium and are beyond the reach of The Last Great Threat]
"Blessed is the one who carefully observes the words of the prophecy of this Book." -Rev 22:7
"Blessed are the ones washing their robes so that they might have the right to the Tree of life and to enter the gates of the City." -Rev 22:14
