The Lamb Standing Upon Mount Zion: Revelation 12-14

The central figure of what is perhaps the most difficult section of the Book of Revelation is the Lamb standing upon Mount Zion. The Lamb symbolizes Jesus and Mount Zion symbolizes the place of His victory over sin, death and the Devil. Mount Zion is the place from which all of the blessings of Jesus' Victory flow to mankind. (The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8)

The Lamb standing upon Mount Zion is the 4th of the 7 Complex Figures that comprise this 4th Heptad. These 7 Complex Figures are dominated by the Controlling Vision of the 2 Great Signs in Heaven that introduce the Heptad. The First Sign traces the humanity of the Seed of the Woman from the Garden in Eden, to the Incarnation of Jesus, to His posture as the Lord of Glory standing upon Mount Zion. The Second Sign deals with the Dragon and the origin of evil.

In Vol. 1, John was commanded to write in a book what he saw in his visions and send it to the Seven Churches. In Vol. 4, John is commanded to add to this Book his prophesies concerning many people and languages and nations and kingdoms which the Gospel of Jesus Christ will impact through time and history. The celebration upon Mount Zion summarizes the Reign of Messiah until the Consummation, fulfilling the prophetic words of Psalm 2:6-7 and Psalm 110:1-4. Messiah's Second Coming is the 7th Complex Figure (Rev. 14:15-20).

The Lamb standing upon Mount Zion is accompanied by His entourage, the 144,000 who are arrayed in the beauty of holiness. Mount Zion is the place where the Lord of Glory was crucified and where He was raised from the dead by the power of God. His entourage rejoices there with Him and shares in Messiah's victory over death and the Devil.

The 4th Heptad provides the most detailed description within the Scriptures of the Mystery of Evil. The 5th, 6th and 7th Heptads provide the definitive end of all Evil and the glories of the Wedding Feast of the Lamb and His Bride at the Great Resurrection.
